Our functional skills course is designed to give individuals the necessary skills and confidence at work, in further education and training and in everyday activities. We offer training from Entry 1 to Level 2.

Entry Requirements
All learners will work towards gaining a level higher than they have previously achieved. We have an open door policy and you will be invited to undertake an initial assessment to help you choose what best suits your requirements.

Functional English Entry 1 to Level 2 supports learners to develop practical skills for the modern world that help in learning, work and in everyday life. This qualification supports students to develop good communication skills in reading, writing, speaking and listening.
Functional Mathematics Entry 1 to Level 2 supports the further development of mathematical thinking and understanding in learners. It is taught using practical examples from business and work, rather than in traditional classroom style.
ICT Functional Skills qualifications are designed to give learners the confidence and ability to use ICT systems, programmes and tools and to find, select, develop, present and communicate information.
