We are now in our 24th year and have had the privilege of working successfully with young people and adults in South London and the surrounding areas.

We continue to strive to the meet the needs of our students and to the contribute to the local key performance indicators.

We look forward to working positively with all our partners and to successfully make a difference to our community.

 

What We Stand For

The purpose of SDT, outlined in its mission statement, is to “Assist all learners, both youth and adult to reach their potential by providing appropriate and suitable learning which will enable them to meet their agreed specified goals”.

Sutton and District Training Limited (SDT) has been established for twenty one years and we provide flexible training which develops the skills and confidence of adults and young people. We are an organisation which offers an inclusive holistic package in a safe and secure environment. We can accommodate up to 250 learners at any time.

 

Our Mission

We tailor our training courses to accommodate our learner requirements and can adapt certain aspects to ensure we can achieve positive progression for our learners either to College, Employment or an Apprenticeship route.

We can arrange work experience in a variety of vocational areas which have been established via our partnership work in the borough.

Our staff are friendly and supportive and will work with you to achieve your goals.

 

Our Facilities

We Are Providing an Environment for Our Students to Grow & Excel

SDT head office is located in the London Borough of Sutton. It operates in four centres delivering courses in Performing Arts, My Futures Programmes, Plumbing, Construction-Multi Skills, Health & Social Care, Hair & Beauty, Hairdressing & Barbering, ESOL skills for life, Games Design with Esports, Customer Service, Business & Enterprise, Skills for Business, Apprenticeships, Industry Placements, Work Experience, Functional Skills and GCSE English & Maths. We attract learners from surrounding boroughs of Merton, Epsom, Croydon and Brighton. We offer a roll on/roll off system which allows enrolment throughout the year.

At SDT we have a strong equality promotion plan which includes specific sessions at induction; posters, signs and images which constantly reinforce an inclusive message and high standards of fair, respectful and responsible treatment of each other; we have some strong curriculum-led activities which include current affairs and scenarios set up for debate to promote positive thinking about equality in society.

We ensure that we promote all vocational areas to all genders and have a rich mix of gender-based role models across our team.

Enemy Of Boredom is continually developing its delivery alongside Sutton and District training’s quality assurance, with the highest level of support offered to facilitate students every step of the way.

Operating in Hertfordshire, Enemy Of Boredom gets full support from the team at Sutton and District Training. We continue to grow this relationship together over time to establish common goals. These goals include making digital education accessible for all young people at many levels and bringing industry to the classroom, opening doors to help our students progress into their following opportunities.
